We have a birth certificate, social security number and death certificate — she died after 9 days and never left the hospital. Do I claim her as a dependant?

157 people sent thanksVery sorry for your loss, yes you can claim her. Per the IRS: A child who was born or died during the year is treated as having lived with you all year. On her personal information screen when it asks Months lived with you choose All Year
